Desert Safari in Dubai UAE? Why, Yes!

This past weekend my nephew turned 7. And to celebrate we went to the Zoo and a Desert Safari in Dubai UAE. What 7 year old gets a birthday like that?

And my body is still recovering from all the walking and the camel ride.

Anyway, I want to share the authentic desert experience we had. We actually went out to the middle of the desert rode camels, ate some really good Arab food and I even wore traditional wear. Check out my shoes.

This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. But what does it have to do with business you ask? Everything. The fact is I not only enjoyed myself but it helped me see how to make Fusion Tour an enjoyable experience for all the attendees.

So let’s see what happened at the Zoo and Desert Safari in Dubai.

Well we started at the Zoo on Friday. We walked around that entire place for 5 hours. We even got lost, it was that big. It was like any other zoo but there were a few things I noticed that made it better than others.

Why was this experience better? From a business standpoint they allowed people/families to come in without many restrictions. Like bring their own food and take naps on the grass. Trust me, they still made money. People were lined up at the snack huts.

Now in our business we can offer free gifts to our customers. This is a great way for them to sample what we offer. Once people sample what you offer they are more likely to want to invest in how you can solve their problem.

The next day we went on a Desert Safari in Dubai.

We first had to take a bus 2 hours from Al Ain to Dubai. Next a taxi to the Mall of the Emirates. Then we took another bus an hour to the desert. I was so tired of riding. Last we took an SUV to the middle of the desert. That was the fun part.

There were sand dunes and we rode as if we were on ATVs. I guess this is their way of an amusement park ride. But only better.

We arrived at the fort like castle where we rode camels, sand surfed, watched belly dancers and this really cool light dance. Most importantly the food was interesting. I finally ate a full Arab meal. I enjoyed it for the most part.

Now these past two days were all fun for my nephews but to me I wanted to know how these businesses were getting people to come in large numbers.

The lesson I learned from my weekend of fun was to go above and beyond when you have “guests” (customers/clients). I know that sounds cliché but the experiences I will remember for a lifetime.

That’s exactly how I want ladies who attend Fusion Tour to feel. I want them to remember that experience for their lifetime.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my travels this month.
