Bio

Vernetta R. Freeney is an Award-Winning Blogger who returned to her online roots as a personal blogger. Her prior notable blog genres included events, faith and women entrepreneurship. She was the Creator/Producer of the podcast, A Toast To Truths, an award-winning event producer/creator of Fusion Tour, speaker and community builder. She was one of the Top 100 Young Professionals in Houston 2015 and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, cnbc.com, EOFire podcast, Madame Noire and a host of other media outlets. She’s currently an Education Administrator.

Vernetta’s experience also includes having been an ESL Instructor for over 12 years, TV Host/Creator & Producer of ‘Ms. Gamechanger Knows’ on Urban Houston TV, Advertising Consultant for a podcast network, Award-winning Fusion Tour creator/producer, former board of director of a few nonprofits, founding Organizer of the Houston African American Bloggers Association and Co-Founder of FreshCo Community (a co-working group and space). While also speaking about blogging, burnout for educators & entrepreneurship at conferences, workshops, trainings and more across the country.

Vernetta has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Texas Wesleyan University and M.Ed. in Education Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She’s a Ministerial graduate of The Potter’s House School of Ministry.
