How do I want to start this book review? It’s been a while since I’ve written one. This book was gifted to me by the wife of the author. We went to ministry school together.
Now I’m working through my issues with men telling women how to be women or what’s expected of women from a man’s perspective. So, I was a little hesitant to read this book. Yet………….
There were some thoughts presented in the book that challenged me to reconsider some things. There were some others that were spot on. What intrigued me was how the author, Joseph Brice, went into detail about how the woman was fashioned in heaven. That was quite provoking. I probably won’t do it justice, so you’ll have to read it for yourself. It ends with the chapter called, “America The Beautiful.” It essentially says how the American church does not truly display the essence or acts of biblical love. It really is a book that’ll make you reexamine your approach to seeing how truly powerful God made women.
I did have the opportunity to listen to the author speak about a chapter of the book. Hearing his thought process helped me to see the book a different way. Meaning, no longer seeing it as a man writing to women about women but a spiritual leader trying to get a message out to the world about the strength of the woman that God created.
A common theme I felt came across in the book was the deception of Satan against God lead to the woman replacing Satan as God’s most beautiful creation. And because of this replacement is why Satan comes after women much harder. The acts of convincing women that the power that lies within her is not real but Satan’s words about who she is, is real. Very interesting read. Not a traditional spiritual book. But one I would recommend people to read and see how or if their own thoughts are challenged by the message that’s within the pages of ‘God, The Woman and Their Enemy.‘
***P.S. I’m not getting paid for this or was asked. I did enjoy the book and felt like sharing it.
