So a few months ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Miko Branch, CEO of Miss Jessie’s. We had a great conversation and I was given a copy of the book to read. If you know me you know I’m obsessed with a great story. Especially one of triumphs and victories where we can learn lessons from their experience in the process.
Here are the 3 lessons I learned about business from Miss Jessie’s Creating a Successful Business From Scratch Naturally:
- Every job you had before you became an entrepreneur is just a learning opportunity. Don’t downplay or look down on the previous jobs you had. You can acquire a new skill that will be used when you’re an entrepreneur.
- Hesitation can cause you to lose out on big deals when you think you’re not ready for them. Sometimes you have to jump before you look. Not always but sometimes. It’s okay if it doesn’t work out because it’s just another experience and lesson you need to help you move forward in business.
- Having a support system is what will get you through the tough times in business. And be there to celebrate with you through the good times. You have to vet people thoroughly and know not everyone can and should go with you through each stage in business.
Listen to our conversation and let me know what you think. Go ahead and purchase your copy of the book. Tweet me your thoughts @VRFreeney about the book.
